RBW Logistics Explains Why They Support the 2012 T-SPLOST

Many businesses within the CSRA Region 7 are beginning to rally support for the passage of TSPLOST to raise awareness and advocate for the jobs expected to be created with new transportation funding. A local coalition of volunteers, fundraisers and organizations in support of the passage of a 1 cent sales tax for regional transportation funding is growing rapidly.

One of these companies is RBW Logistics, which publicly supportS the passage on its website and blog. RBW also generously sponsored a recent Breakfast Briefing for area transportation contractors, engineers, architects and manufacturers. Their generous donation makes it possible to spread the word about the July 31st vote and why it's important to our 13-county region and specifically how it will positively impact area businesses.

RBW Logistics Vice President Frank Anderson "consider[s] this one of the most important economic development decisions this region will make for many years to come. The critical component of TSPLOST is that this is local money that will STAY local to help improve the roads and transportation infrastructure that both residents and businesses rely on."

The 2012 T-SPLOST goes before all Georgia citizens on July 31st and is a 1 percent regional Special Local Option Sales Tax that directly benefits our 13 county region by funding road and transportation projects. The proposed T-SPLOST extends for 10 years with funding of over $840 million.
