Moving Forward With Revers Logistics

Back and Forth

added Mar 14th, 2011

For most, logistics is about dispersion, about taking something produced in single locations and finding the most cost-, time- and labor-efficient ways to get it into the world.

But it works in reverse as well.

One of the fastest growing sectors of the logistics industry is reverse logistics. Every time a sweater doesn’t fit and is returned to a department store, every time a cell phone is traded in for this year’s model and every time raw materials are sent to a facility for recycling, it’s reverse logistics in action.

Although much of what we do focuses on that first phase, we understand the importance of developing systems, such as our carpet recycling facility, that are two-way streets. How’s the old saying go? If you love something, set it free. If it’s meant to be, it will come back to you – and RBW can provide the means to bring it back.
