Customers Are So Old Fashioned

Howdy Partner

added Feb 16th, 2011

RBW hasn’t had a new customer in years – and that’s just the way we like it. Think about it, customers are transactional. Yes, some customers may be loyal, but that isn’t what RBW is seeking. We want something more – to move past the transactional to the strategic.

The old model of building business, which involved quoting prices, providing a service and then sending an invoice, is so 20th century. RBW has learned in the dynamic world of the supply chain that power and value is created through establishing meaning partnerships with whom we work with. There has to be investment, on both sides, in order for a business relationship to successfully weather the increasingly complex and volatile economic environment. There have to be partnerships.

At RBW, we love partnerships. We love feeling like we’re a part of someone’s business plan just as they, in turn, are part of ours. There’s a great sort of bunker mentality that develops when successes are shared. So we’re not looking for customers. We’re not interested in what that dynamic offers.

We want partners.
